THE MEN WHO MATTER

With close to only a month left for cricket’s prestigious tournament to commence (again), the final 15 representing each of the participating nations have been announced. And around the world, teams have finished their test engagements and have begun playing the ODI format. Slowly the pulse is rising. The tournament has moved to the Oceania for only the second time in its forty year long history. From the bouncy wickets and sweltering heat of Australia to the incisive swing and chilly conditions in New Zealand, the players in addition to the opposition will have to battle the conditions if they hope to play a pivotal role in their country’s campaign. I aim to share a ten part analysis of the 14 teams fighting it out for the coveted trophy by swimming through their squad, possible playing XI and the possible challenges they may face. Of course I am no expert and I am only presenting the field the way I see it and many know that as well. But I should give a disclaimer just in case…!!! Needless to say I require you, the readers, in order to succeed in this endeavor.

Best
